Detailed description

These are the proving grounds of the ancient egyptian god of death, Osiris. These grounds provide lots of vulnerable and well covered points, with lots of pathways to choose from to lose your opponent, and possibly stumble upon another one. The magical relic tablets hold the power to repel every living being, and that might be useful for the poor players who ended up in these ancient times.

Map features good visuals and possibly gameplay. waypoints not included yet. also no weapons yet. But nevermind that, just be busy enough gazing in the new awesome portal i invented in the underpass! comment reasonably.

NOTE: It's marked as RELEASE, but it's for Justice edition.
NOTE: The map does not have any pretty obvious marks of which side you're on, so its important you are careful where you're heading by simply getting a glimpse of the rooftop fire marking the bases. Maybe i'll find some better way around that in an update.

even though 70% of all sauer fans hate symetrical maps, i LOVE yours :P

This map looks pretty cool Raz, but I don't like the fact that someone made yet another Egyptian themed map. Sauer has way too many Egyptian themed maps in my opinion and if you're going to do one at all, at least not make it look weird by having it set in space. It would be better off as sort of an ancient ruin in some random desert somewhere.

First of all, what most people make is ruins. Ruins that are set in random deserts in the middle on fucking nowhere, and that doesn't make much sense either. if i were to make this some sort of ruin it would certainly not look as good, and i'd have to come up with way more background to the map to find a reason to block off access to broken walls and such. And i don't feel like designing a city, not with the current textures.
Second, who said the map is set in space, that's just the night sky. some thousand years ago you didn't have lamps to litter the sky and see only a couple of the brightest star's, there were more to see than the eye could count. In my opinion, the skybox matches these ancient years just perfectly

i remember this map in its first stages :D!

theme is pretty original, because most maps with egyptical themes arent nighted themed.
texturing is very nice placed, really like it! i got a question here: how did you add geometry on just a texture, above another texture (still in the same cube)? like at the flagtrimmings...

lighting and geometry are fine either.
clipping/noclipping is just like it should be.
the flow and gameplay are nice too, but i pretty dislike those small jumppads in the middle of the map.

actually 1 last thing to say something about, i pretty dislike the skybox actually, it seems its not fitting the theme or the egyptical textures.

nice map, i like it, 9/10!

the flag bases are a bit unique, but the height is 2 cube levels. because the height of the second layer is really small, in addition to the cube size used, its impossible to select it unless you view it sideways. this happens in many cases, even if the geometry is on the air, you could select the empty space behind the actual cube >_>

as for the jumppads in the middle of the map, they were merely a small addition to the accessibility oh the higher walkway from the lower plateau, though their pushing should be removed since it tends to bump you on the wall if not carefully positioned.

as for the clipping i know of a way to smooth out the corners all the way to the top. water in the fire cauldrons will also be removed to improve performance, since looking the overview of the map from the bases' ledges drops the fps count considerably for this possible reason.
