Grr. This skull is with me wherever I go. It says "User was warned". This must make me look like a mapwrecker or spammer or noob or geneal nerk. It does not look good for people who read my comments as it makes me look like a berk who doesn't know what he's talking about. Can I redeem myself or am I stuck with this evility forever?

June 5 2009: Insulting Quadropolis as well as moderators, showed no respect for rules (or laws!), etc. Suggest warning if it continues, which it does not appear to be.
June 8 2009: Continues to be abusive and rude to moderators and users, shows complete lack of regard for licensing. Suggest blocking the user if it continues.
August 7 2009: Has returned to abuse and flamebait.

You've been much better lately, but I need assurances you're not gonna act like a tool again.

OK, I remember I had that signature for that crap mod that was banished to the depths of my hard drive because it sucked. I have since read "How not to start a mod" and understand how crap I looked.

June 2009 must have been when I released Newcube and went mental because people noticed I had dodgily used a model. I am sorry for this and will not repeat my actions. Looking back I see I looked like a berk.

But what was August 2009? I don't remember flamebaiting or for that matter using Quadropolis for that time period. I'm guessing it was where I was being angreh at ... nothing in particular, because I played a lot of Cube. Or perhaps flaming Fanatic's music, I forget really. Whatever it was, I apologise for whatever I did because I've been playing lots of evilitising Sauerbraten deathmatches lately, and they're a lot better than cube with Saurbraten Enhanced. Or was it when I laughed at Master Chef Ogro?

I have been looking back on the Newcube 0.00002 topic on the forums and I must admit I was ~~a bit of~~ a lot of a nob (that's not a typo). I am now only here to review people's maps and take part in discussions. And perhaps release the odd dodgy Cube TC, but if this happened I would not repeat the evilities of Newcube. I have also matured greatly in the transition to year 11 and also work experience, and no longer act like a freak, either on the internet or in real life.

I understand you may be doubtful about removing the skull from my name in case I try and start flame wars and the like, so I will promise here that I will think before I post in the future (and stick it above my monitor with a Dymo labeler) so as not to break the trust of anyone in the community. I have decided I want to become a respected member of the community, rather than some noob who was known for bitching about legalities.

I've been a bitchy freak for too long now and I feel that now we have entered a new year it is time to change.

Well, the first thing you could do is use the reply link instead of starting a new thread. ;) Moving posts is tedious.

In any case, instead of putting labels on your monitor, consider the skull a reminder. If you don't, as Quin said, act like a tool again, we'll probably remove it before too long. :)

Well, I have noticed his behaviour improve the last few months. I just wanted to let him know what the skull was for so he could acknowledge it, and hopefully avoid the same issues in future. Warning removed.

Ok this comment is to loby for new ranking system...

a new more tangible rating system is needed to be in place... this new rating system would intail that there would be more levels... something like 10 or 12 or some larger number... as of right now there are 3 levels, basically based solely on socil enginering... not really based on the validity or contet of your post.. or realy based on the content of the work that u sumbit on cube.... i suggest a 2 or more track rating system... first would be content.... of cource this rating would be based solely on the maps that you create and on the textures models... and so on... next would be a teer for the ability to script and the use of making mods of the game... such as shader triggers and other such things... the third and final branch would be your helpfullnesss in the posting aspect of cube... how useful are your comments... how correct is your critisism... and of course how you deal with rating others map... bad things would be like cursing and mean spiritedness or lack of proof or description to your argument...

these would form one pic based on the cumlation of the totals... the calcualation would be based on a partictular number of posts that are usefull ... this would be a yes and no from the modators... for the post they would be defualt to be yes for post at least... this way there is some tangable goal... replies would not be counted towards your amouts of posts...

this would do a couple of things... first of which it would give ppl an idea of how valid is the comment or review of there content or mod... so a 2 star that has no clue about map editing and is more of a programer is not seen as a god ... becuase he has a 2 star next to his name ... this would also keep the noobs on quad more ... because they would try to reach this more seeable goal...

the reason i would state that we need more levels is because ... there are many no stars out there.... of course not me... that are very good and have useful info and contet ... but are brushed over...

as for the warned user... i feel that many ppl... not me... Dont get rid of my skull i like it its a lot better than thos *** **** stars... but many other ppl on quad feel that the skull is like sitting in pergetory... your not quite band... but... u are not a normal user and u lose ... i here ... the PM... a thing ive never used... but most of the ppl that are in disipline said shit or damn or god forbid god damn... not like any of the really bad curse words... so many of them have left quad... ive found many ppl on the servers that realy had quad for this reason ... i think that 6 mothes ??? and when ever the admin feels like it.... is to harsh of a punishment for one or 2 time offenders... but i think that more than 2 time offenders should get a steeper punishment like not being able to post for a week or not be able to add content ... or not be able to pm ... i think that wat they did should resemble wat there punishment should be ... so if you keep posting crapy content ... then u are not allowed to post content ... for x time...

basicly my point is to loby for a shorter disipline time ... maybe a week or 2... that there should be cataglories basis to your ranking... also that there should be more levels to the ranking system...

and PLEASE DONT EVER TAKE MY SKULL AWAY

An idea would be a + or - for comments, to rate them in helpfulness, weather the comments can be rated by only the creator of nodes, admins, or everybody.

i think that the best way to do this is allow the creator of the content or mod be the one that rates the comments... and an admin or modarator can come by and change the rating by the creator ...
