Detailed description

Another scratch map for the kiddies. Contains a lot of stuff, including:

* Two donuts/toruses/torii
* One inverted donut
* Some 45 degree cylinders, inverted cylinders and arches
* Some artsy stuff

Some of the stuff on the map was made by others, but most was made by me. The big torus was also edited a bit by SkyLaX.

Also contains 3 textures useful for making Cylinders and 45 degree cylinders.

You can calclight, and there is some skylight and candle light. I didn't calclight, to keep the upload small.

Your artistic thing ( the one in the pic ) Is AMAZING! Ive seen it before, but it still surprises me.
I noticed the new cluster of various arches too, very nice. =P

Some parts are a bit screwed tho... Used smaller grid on bigger grid created stuff? ;)

I defintaely give it a 5/5 tho, im sure I'll be able to let some of this stuff inspire me ;)

The "bit screwed" parts were left by friends in coopedit, and I was too lazy to clean them up.

Hehe, I usually put a single cube, the size I used, next to my models so my coop ppl in the private session know what I edited with so that doesnt happen ;)

well.. its no "map" (not playable) or something what is put together (like skycastle).. just things that show "cube skill" ;)
i like such maps what shows what is possible with the cube engine ^^ like my church

very nice, but when i started the map up for the first time, it wasnt calclighted. i found a bug at those rainbow rings, the ring above it is from beneath only halfly finished.

furhter, its unbelieveble :D!

The whole point of this is for OTHER people to have stuff to use for THEIR maps... Quad is not for JUST game play maps, there is also artistic content and content that is useful to the community, this is both of those. The license "Public Domain" Indicates that its available for anyone to use. Rate it based on that.

u telling me the fact that this unorganized unsorted ... random layed map is supose to help... it should be fix so that it sets sum kind of training... teaching maps are completely fine to me ... but this map looks like a map i would find one a co-edit... in multiplayere that a noob would make... great structs.. but there is a lack of instruction ... this is wat i rated the map on... not on weather the map could be used to play a game type ... but rather the fact of wheather ...this would help me or... any one in there modeling skills...

if this creator is so interested in modeling then maybe he sould start using blender or maya so that we can get some good models in this engine...

chasester, if you want tutorials and instructions in mapping you could as well use youtube for that.

This map is a pallete, a map with various structures, artistic or not that people, who aren't that much experienced in mapping, could use in their maps or destroy in order to learn how to do so. (Reverse engineering is the best for learning)

now if you think these maps should also come with tutorials and videos on how to make each structure, then go on and do it..
