The church front is Stunning.. I love the intricacy, and with lighting its that much more amazing.
I also like the look of the cavelike structure in behind, im curious to see what that turns out like.

I'll give you a five for Artistic Content.

This is a nice design. Huge detail. On the church-front you have some stray blocks to watch for those. I'm hoping to see this develop further and become functional. At the top you have some spiral staircases, with neither an entrance nor an exit. That's one example.

As for everything else included.. Those will be deleted I assume. The playerstart was in this cylinder so I was confused. The exact last thing I looked at was the church, and from the screenshot that's the thing I came to look at initially.

Even if this is not going to be built into a functional map for gameplay purposes, I would be interested in the final product as a complete, artistic map.

5/5 if I'm rating only the church-front and its similarity to the picture. Otherwise the lighting, stray things lying about, and texturing is off...

So, all things considered, 4/5 ;)

I really hope you will continue with this project and finish both the church inside as well as the outside and it's surroundings.
Even if it won't be playable, it should still be in the release as artistic content to show people the potential of the engine.

If you don't want to make the map 2x2 bigger, just move the castle and the ground downward and you'll have more space above.

This facade is the best example of Gothic architecture in Sauerbraten that I've seen. It must've taken a little while! I'm guessing that a little texturing work will be done later, because right now, I can't see the details on the windows from certain angles (the windows are the same texture as everything else).

Really amazing. Sauerbraten needs more stuff like this. 5/5 (well, it looks like there are a few flaws, but it sounds like you're still actively working on this)

you forgot to texture the windows (there are very nice window textures already in sauerbraten) but its very good!

The side looks great so far! A few things: Shouldn't the flying buttresses be a bit arched on the underside? I'm also curious as to how you would do the back of the church since parts of it are diagonal (including windows).
Still, I have yet to see anything like this in Sauerbraten!

Very ambitious attempt, here: I'm already a fan of your Arabic map, but this one has even more potential. I hope that, when finished, it'll come fully featured with a matching environment and normal-mapped textures. :)

Painkillah no offense but i dont really like your window tex ;) also it does not fit to the grid, and cause im working on grid i cant use it. and also youre supposed to look through them in the end

The interior looks nice so far! I'm curious to see if you'll be able to pull off vaulted ceilings. Oh, and you forgot to /calclight. The little entrance platform strikes me as a bit odd, but I imagine you might be adding more to it in the future.

pls make the platform bigger again so that you can look at the church from a little bit more distance and not fall off the cliff ;)

Other than that, even just with the little changes I think it's awesome ;)

Wow, *amazing* map. I love how it's on a little floating island-like thing (even if the back of it is square). What I really don't like is the lighting. You have a few lights just sitting on the floor which, while it makes the map reasonably lit, looks plain weird. There aren't, as far as I can tell, any of light sources anywhere (not light entities, but the geometry/model the light is supposed to be coming from). If you want, I can post a few links to lighting articles, but I kind of get the sense that this is just something that is being put off for a while. Can't wait for a (few more) update(s)!

Great detail.. I can not wait til u get the baptistry done and the back side of the church. The lighting tho is completely unrealistic... the lighting in a church such as this one at the time period would be limited during the night because of the lack of electricity... many of the spots on this map tend to have problems in defining were the light is coming from... it look as if you only lit the key areas +++ you need to add a way to get up to the second/third/fourth/etc levels... i suggest to change the skymap to a more daytime... or dust... that way u can use the sun to aply a more natural light... also .. if this is a catholic church.. there should be more art/sculpture allong the isle due to the fact that they can never get enough of it...

On the packing note... there is no jpg or cfg in the base in the packaged product... u will want to include a list of all the mapmodels in there that u use so if the model list defualt ever changes it will not change your models... u dont want the bushes to become trees :)...

I strongly agree Retriangulation :o but if this map was playable it would cause people not to play on it unless he changes the lighting because its slows me and several others; but for demo purposes great idea.*** This map is already on the top of this list for best content for how long; like several months now. I had an idea that in the new release that there should be a section of maps only for looks or expedition. I'm talking about like a section of maps dedicated to only the BEST of the best maps. The legendary type. we could get the community input on it and create a new sp/multiplayer section on it; it would be great :D. But as usual its just a thought i had. Good job anyways 10/10 :P
