Many thanks for you comment :) It is indeed very large and therefore doesn't run very fast, but since I wasn't sure if I have to change some errors in geometry, I didn't make PVS Culling yet, I hope it will make the map faster.
If you really meant the 'platform' entities with "platforms", then it was my intention not to tell the player that he's going to the hangar ;)
Well I hope you understand that i can't judge how confusing this map is, because something i made myself isn't very confusing to me. Do you think it would be a good idea to add some sort of signs that tell the player where he goes to?
And I noticed that with the door, but too late, i will fix it later :) - Edit: Sorry I can't fix this problem, there's no space between the room it's in and the next one to hide it...

As I said in the description, i worked on this map very long, but with a lot of breaks. About one week ago, maybe a bit more, I just felt like making a small DM map, which was done in a few hours, the second DM map took me a few days. So actually, it's just a coincidence that those maps were all released in a short period.

This map is now in SVN, and I took the time this afternoon to playtest it and fix some problems with the map. There's no real good way to go about the problem with the doors (other than perhaps move them down a little, or replace them with a model that opens outwards instead).

I already had the idea of making a sequel of it, but i'm not sure. I will definitely make another sp map somewhen, but i can't tell if it will be something new or a sequel to this one ;)
About the voice acting: I thought about that once, too, but it would mean much work and I would need about 4 diffrent actors, since I don't believe that those sythetic voices would fit pretty much. But beside that, my spoken english could be much better, because i'm not from an english speaking country, and i'm afraid that the whole thing could sound very unprofessional, and i want to make maps in a good quality. But MAYBE I'll give it a try and ask for some volunteers in my clan, it would be something new for sauer ;P That's not a promise though ;)

I could likely provide a voice or two if you need it. My microphone quality is a bit poor, so perhaps I could be one of the protagonist's radio contacts, or I could manipulate my voice and attempt to act for a monster or two. Either way, I'd love to assist in a sequel or second SP map in general.

The reason why I suggested voice acting was because I missed about half of the plot of the level since I wasn't looking at the console most of the time. Having verbal and not text feedback would make the whole thing more immersive and flow much better.

I would love providing voice acting xD sadly I am only 15 years old :O I may not sound like one of the older men in which you are probably conveying in this map. Also, I have an idea, I remember seeing a mod that allowed you to use player models as map models, maybe you could meet up with one of the men, and he could talk to you about your mission. ;P

should be possible. I've played through it four times without problem, just look around a lot more.

The yellow armour is like an easter egg and a reward if you explore the whole map and find the crowbar to open it.

well, in any single player game, if you turn to edit mode all of the monsters re-spawn.

No, I mean that there was a monster every standard cube. I'm not freaked out by monsters, but when there're a zillion demons out there I kinda like to hit /quit.

No, that shouldn't happen, it sounds more like a bug in the game. Did this ever happen before on another map?

For some odd reason, if you /newmap from an SP map with monsters, or a map with bots, the monsters or bots will be carried over to the newmap. It's been like this for a long time. :/ I'm guessing they processed more or less separate from the map, and don't so much rely on the map to exist, just to move around. Don't quote me on this though, as it is just an uneducated guess.
Perhaps make a forum post inquiring about it.

What crowbar? This isn't Half-life.

Theres a vent relatively early in the level and it says you need a "crowbar" to open it :)
Of ocurse you can't actually use it, but it triggers the open of the vent :D

Okay, a little hint, you can find the crowbar before you get to the ventilation shaft, and it's worth to look around for ways you don't need for the storyline :)

Originally I had planned a slightly diffrent way the player would have to go. I didn't want to player to escape from the base after completing the main task, instead I wanted him to go back up into another part of the map through the unused door right after you jump out of the little cave and ventilation shaft. My idea also included having to go through the other ventilation shaft into the quad room you mentioned, because the other way would have been closed (that's why there's a door after the first elevator). I wanted to fill the place with monsters once you get out of the quad room, and that's what the quad is for ;)

Things didn't work out like that though, because I wanted to finish the map before the release of the new sauer edition, and there was simply not enough time to do the second part. (If I remember correctly, I almost uploaded it in the last minute before the new sauer was released) So the room you found is just a part of the original idea that I didn't remove, I forgot to add a way to open the door in the ventilation shaft, though^^

I guess you know that you need a remote control to move the platforms. Each side has its own remote control, so there's a blue one and a red one. You'll have to pick up the red one to move the red platforms, which is on the desk next to the rail.
