My assassin edition crashed right after loading.

It crashes my game as well. The problem is in the GL skin. If I remove that folder, everything else works.

the guns looked good, but not as good as the ones that came with assassin edition.
the animations was better tho! i really liked the sound and the animation of the shotgun!! the shotgun made it feel like you really did heavy damage on the target! Also, same with the pistol, exellent!
rocketlauncher was good.
chaingun was great and i liked the chainish sound, but i think it should make more noise.
The granade launcher wasnt that great, but i liked it tho!
the rifle was exellent, bouth sound and animation, exellent!
Also, i have to agree with slix about the orange gloves.

Overall, Great!! 4/5 :)

i tested the new beta 2, and it rox. the only complaint i have is that the pistol sound is much too loud when compared to the other weapon sounds. the other sounds are fine, but compared to them, the pistol is too loud. plz make it quieter. other than that, i still give it a 5/5. the weapon sounds are excellent, same with item pickup sounds

Now they work in my assassin edition and I like them :)
I especially like the rifle. I'm so sick of that crossbow
But, yeah, the pistol sound is too loud. And the chaingun sound is kinda weird.
But still 5/5

EDIT: I reduced the pistol sound to 100 in my sound.cfg file and replaced the chaigun sound with original one. Now I'm completely happy! :)

Nice hudguns! The skins are *so* much better now.
The muzzle flashes are quite nice, you should add
one for each gun. The hands, however, look a bit
weird. I like Geartrooper's better. Great animations.

Marvin. The cfg file of blue skin of pistol dont have the "mdlalphatest shot.png 0"! Fix it, please, because without it in teamplay (blue skin) flames looks bad...

last time i downloaded one of marvins guns they were green all over and it didn't look very good. I wish i could see some screnshots of what each gun looks like before i download cuz that little box up there don't help much =/

thx for fixing the pistol and chaingun sounds. i'd love to try this mod, but whenever i download sauerbraten from sourceforge, the game's corrupt, so i only get 2 pages of textures, when i should have 10

I really, really fell in love witht the rifle. =P It actually looks, and sounds convincing. I just had to turn up the volume of it, and it wad great. The chaingun sounds kinda goofy, but it doesn't bother me too much. I don't think il go back to the original hudguns. EVER. =) 5/5

If I had a say, I´d make these official. 200% better than what´s in Sauer now.

I finally decided to check these out, you've done an excellent job. and there's all these little extra details that make them even nicer. (like that glow on the pistol, and how those tubes on the shotgun move when you shoot)

Sorry to be such a pest about hygiene - but even the best nodes can sometimes do with some improvement :-P
The ZIP contains over 337.75 KB of unecessary files. In this case Thumbs.db and .DS_Store files, which I find suprising since one is a typical Windows file, the other typical for Mac OS ... must've accumulated some cruft during it's voyage through the systems ... hehe, well, remove them for a slightly (but every bit counts, eh) slimmer download!

tested and fixed works perfect, but vwep have little problem with the position on mr fixit, not important error anyway.

good excpect the gl looks bad and makes me feel weak.

I downloaded the mod as it was looking promising, as it did in original. I can't say, this is art! all of them are perfect!

i'll get over with a details personal analysis:

Bad things:
1) the minigun needs more voice in it, it's a bit loooow... ;)
2) the pistol seems to make the right volume as the minigun should, so please turn it a bit lower.
3) for a shotgun it is great, but doesn't seem to make that much of a noise. the rifle seems to be more shotgun like in the hearing, you might want to switch them and find a more realistic one for the rifle :)

Good-Bad:
1) the Grenade launcher is really small, which makes it look bad, but despite it's size its disastrous for close combat, rather it's size that it points you to the saying: "power comes from withing", which really reveals that size doesn't matter so it's 0-0 :P

GOOOOOD:
1) Really good texturing on every weapon, but as others said the orange gloves don' stick with them. maybe have it as a simple hand? since the players are pigs anyways :P
2) great effects on every weapon. you should be awarded...!

Requests (if possible):
1) in the rocket launcher, if possible, the rockets left should reduse when the number get's low, so if 1 rocket is left only 1 rocket will show. 2 are left, 2 are shown. is this possible? it would really make ir more realistic

I can't activate glare because the muzzle flash !

can you host these files on something less gay than rapidshare? i downloaded this thing yesterday but today I can't download your "complete" thingy.

Hello! The muzzle flash, or part of it, displays as a jumble of white textures in front of tthe chaingun. This is really weird because its fine on the pistol? The same shot that is on the pistol displays correctly on the chaingun but plus some missing textures or something. It looks fine when i enable shaders but that makes the framerate go wayyy down. Is there some way to remove the 2 other muzzle flashes? or remove the muzzle flash altogether? I can't see around the big mess to aim. I tried the old green chain gun but it doesn't actualy rotate; or did i install that wrong too. I tried the latest ctf and cvs. XP ATI 5200 if i remember correctly (friends pc) perhaps disabling that nvidia_fix? perhaps it is messed up from rapidshare? All the other guns work great and I love them!

when shaders are off the chain gun muzzel flash goes all crazy the flash don't work it's just a seris of like a mesh that holds togther the actually photo i think i might have to do with the md3, when shaders are off it speeds up the loading of gun & map b/c there are no shaders so the muzzel flash b/c it's so big and it loads so fast, the game cannot respond to it quickly enough so it really does not load up the muzzel flash texture, but for pistol and everythng else it's fine 4/5 good job fix the flash problem tho, run you're game with shaders off and try the chaingun and you will see what I mean

ho, it,s a big bug, i don,t know this problem. but you are rigth. I can only repair deleting flash object. Some people don,t like it. From now you will wait, i have problems to export to md3.

See what happens to the fire of the chaingun each time i use the chaingun :

It happens whith the shaders off and the model reflection on.
Otherwise it works really fine.
So...how can i fix it please ?

Shaders need to be enabled to work !

My computer is not enough powerfull to handle the shaders.
And i don't have any "couldn't load texture" messages.
Do u think that if i change the fire of the gune it will work ?

I known what's the problem now. It's problem with aplha chanels in muzzle flash textures. Without shaders ahpha chanels don't work and you see strange bug. Same thing with glare. With glare on alpha chanels don't work and glare is "glaring" whole texture. So: it's Sauerbraten bug not Solaris bug.
Try opening muzzle flash textures with Paint and you will see! --- Paint dosesn't support alpha chanels...

I have a lot of work and i can´t made changes in hudguns. Q009 was rigth, alpha blending can cause strange thinks, you must have shadres on, if you cant because you dont have a powerful pc you use original hudguns, srry for incovenience.
From now i can´t made two version, with and without shaders, i have a lot of work and i,m a desingner not programer, if somebody want to help can try to made other version of hudguns for lower pc.

Excuse me again, i would like to be able to offer you many but humbly I can´t do it more with my time.

Even shaders with shaderdetail 0 works, it's only 5-10 frames per second lost for shader quality 0-1.

there is a possible fix for this marvin2k that i probably can do in the md3.cfg add some if shader = 0 then noot load muzzel else load muzzel flash this is an easy way to fix a giant problem I will be glad to do it for you just give me some time

I installed the full pack, but when i run the game, all the fonts are messed up and unreadable, and they jump around. love the weapons though, great work.
any way to fix?

edit: fixed it by removing autoexec.cfg

I know that it was a new version of sauer, but is diferent type of hudguns tham old, and i need a lot of time to transform old md3 in new md5. The old md3 dont work i i dontk know why. sorry

I hope the new Trooper compatible hudguns will come since i can't stand the awful models the new version has. low detailed and badly animated. Solaris weapon models won't work although ammo is working just fine, i could live with that :)

and maybe i should suggest adding muzzle flashes for the weapons? it would really live them up
another suggestion is editing the sword and maybe making it a light saber or something, since a sword full of graffitis doesn't really stick with the whole futuristic weapons theme

I have to say, I'm actually quite disappointed. The sounds are corrupted and cut off. Some sounds are not there at all. And why are the hands different? I would think that you would have changed the hands to Ironsnout hands? Overall, I think this was a great disappointment. I even prefer the normal hudguns to these ones. I now have to reinstall Sauerbraten to get the old hudguns back, thus having to reinstall all the mods that I had downloaded.

Hey I for one love Troopers new hudguns, but its nice to see these bad boys back in my arsenal as well. You are Win. I am Bow.

I believe it is best to leave the hands for TROOPER edition as they are. They look better this way and you can't (I MEAN IT YOU CAN'T) just put gloves onto a robotic snout hand or replace it with (in-noway-similar-to-human) hands!
i believe this would make the whole project seem better if it would just leave the hands unmodified

Also i've come to believe the sword is a bad addition to the solaris hudguns. It takes the game ages back while having modern rocket launchers and such. I believe the chainsaw is great cause it makes the meat splatter when you kill an enemy with it more realistic. You can't make an enemy have his meat splattered all over with just 1 or 2 sword blows, yes?

No offence, and i know all this is hard work (just by imagining it i'm tired), but i think there should be some major changes to this pack
